CAF TOOLKIT LAUNCH

The final version of the CAF toolkit is now available.  This will help support practitioners and managers in South Gloucestershire to use the Common Assessment Framework (CAF).

The toolkit reflects the way we are all currently working at the time of writing. We live in interesting times and our circumstances are currently changing. It is therefore possible that we will be continuing to change the context in which we are working, and also need to further adapt our practice. It may be more appropriate to use the website to access tools as this will be constantly updated to reflect local experience, learning and community need.

We have also initiated Lead Professional network meetings in each locality four times a year. The first of these meetings have just completed and details of future meetings will be made available from the Common Assessment Support pages of this website.

In the future we may be working towards accrediting the skills of both Lead Professionals and chairs of Team Around the Child meetings, in order to further support the CAF process. Please keep yourself and your team updated about the local CAF training available. You may email CYPtraining@southglos.gov.uk to request current information on training.

For further support and information visit the CAF website, e-mail Common Assessment Support or phone 01454 865734.
