The Care Forum would like to invite you to attend a Bristol and South Glos Children and Young People's Networks Joint Meeting. The morning will consider opportunities for VCS engagement in this area of work and will include a question and answer session with children and young people's physical activity and healthy eating co-ordinators and a training session with Fairbridge Training on Small Steps 4 Life.
There has never been a more important time to focus professional attention on better engagement with the younger generations. This is an up-to-date seminar full of practical advice and features presentations by knowledgeable specialists.
The Safe Network is hosting a FREE workshop on 8th September 2010 based on the resource pack 'Are they Safe?' The Are they Safe? pack is a toolkit full of easy to use materials for community and voluntary groups and orgainisations. The aim of the workshop is to familiarise participants with the resource and explore how they can use it to improve safeguarding practice in their own group or organisation.
The evaluation of the children and young people plan for 2009-10 is now available to download. This year we have strengthened the evaluation by linking to it some more detailed reports about those aspects that have been a focus for us over the year.
A recent ‘Turning the Curve’ conference was held on 30 March 2010 at BAWA, Filton to enable better focus on discussions to arrive at (evidence based) practical ‘what works’ solutions by adopting the ‘Turning the Curve’ Methodology.
