Use Your Voice

This is an invitation to an event, which is taking place in November half term.

The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for a fun and simple way of consulting with young people on various strategies. The consultations include the Transport strategy and future of the Youth Service. The workshops are interactive and are designed to engage young people in the consultation process.

Various departments issuing strategies for consultation have been invited to run workshops with the assistance of a youth worker whom will ensure that the workshops are suitable for young people.

The day will also give young people the opportunity to find out about ‘Participation Opportunities’ in South Gloucestershire and their Areas e.g. Locality Youth Forums, UKYP, Big Stash and other groups they might wish to join.

We are targeting young people who are already involved with decision-making groups such as School Councils and Youth Forums. I should be grateful if you would pass this information to young people and encourage a couple of representatives to attend the event. The young people do not need to be accompanied by an adult, as there will be youth workers in attendance all day. We can provide help with transport if necessary.
