South Gloucestershire Anti-Bullying Partnership Minimize

 

The Anti-Bullying Partnership is a sub-group of the Safeguarding Children Board and reports to it annually. The Anti-Bullying Partnership exists to contribute to the development, delivery and monitoring of the anti-bullying strategy and the key priority for feeling safe and secure identified in the South Gloucestershire Children and Young People Plan 2009-12: ‘To promote the welfare of children and young people so that they feel safe’. 

The Partnership consists of representatives from Council departments, services, agencies and the voluntary sector with a remit for promoting safeguarding activities within the South Gloucestershire Council area. It meets six times a year.


The Anti-Bullying Strategy Annual Report

The Anti-Bullying Strategy Annual Report is a report brought to The Safeguarding Board to scrutinise it's progress.

The Anti-Bullying Strategy dates from 2008-9, has now been revised and is attached to this report as Appendix A. There are new sections on identity-based bullying, drawing on The Equality and Human Rights Commission Research report 64, 2010, cyberbullying and the London University report ‘The use and effectiveness of anti-bullying strategies in schools’, April 2011.
