Guidance for Contributory and Partnership Plans Minimize

This guidance is intended to provide a basis for consistent approaches across those plans which contribute to the delivery of the South Gloucestershire Children and Young People Plan 2009-2012. It is intended to be used as a framework for developing plans, and to support focused reporting in order for this to be collated at a strategic level.

The outcome focused planning framework is based on Mark Friedman’s Outcome Accountability model. It includes:

• Key principles to underpin planning
• Strategies to use with groups at different stages of planning
• Definitions of terminology to be used
• A proforma for plans
• A template for reporting.

Further material is freely available on his website: www.resultsaccountability.com. This includes helpful training materials as well as links to conference presentations from authorities within England which are using this approach.
